On November 29, 2022 our team visited the students at "Otets Paisiy" Primary School, Dink village, Maritsa municipality, as part of the campaign to promote the ecological network Natura 2000 in Bulgaria.
We were warmly welcomed by the school's teachers and principal, and the children looked forward to seeing the realistic models of the Red-breasted Goose, Sandwich Tern and the small Long-eared Bat that we presented to them.
We told the students about the Green Balkans and what the Natura 2000 network is, why it is important for all of us, and through a presentation and children's information boards about the various endangered species, we introduced the children and their leaders to the specifics of the species, biology, habits, place of residence and much more interesting facts.

To get an idea of what birds and bats really look like, we screened several short videos, which the children watched with interest and provoked various questions. Some of them even told about personal encounters with bats and other animals.

We provided the school and community center in the village of Dink with sets of children's information boards, posters, puzzles, games with memory cards, flyers and leaflets with endangered species. Each child received a sticker of their choice as a reward for participating in the event, and we received smiles and hugs when we left! :)))
Thank you very much for the invitation and see you again!
