We were invited by the Youth Development Centre – Mutual Aid to take part in the opening of the Eco Festival 2020 in the town of Kazanlak. The event was held for the 10th consecutive year.
The Green Balkans team had the opportunity to share interesting facts with the participants about vultures, endangered species under Natura 2000 some of which get admitted for treatment at the Green Balkans Wildlife Rescue Centre. The participants had the opportunity to take part in our initiative for a new chance for life for three kestrels hatched and raised at the Rescue Centre. They emotionally released the kestrels wishing them all the best.
We are honored to be guests of the Eco Festival again and we hope to continue working together for children. Thank you!

Natura 2000 is the largest coordinated network for nature conservation. More than 30% of the territory of Bulgaria falls within the scope of the network - 120 areas for the protection of wild birds and 234 areas for the protection of natural habitats.
